*Must be actively attending an undergraduate or graduate university for the Fall 2023 academic year*

 

We are seeking empathetic and supportive individuals to join our team as Student Listeners for Fall 2023. As a Student Listener, you will provide a listening ear to your fellow students, offering emotional support and guidance through various challenges they may face during the academic year.

 

Note: This internship is unpaid and remote. Internship credit is available.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide a confidential and non-judgmental space for students to share their concerns and struggles.

• Listen attentively and empathetically to students' stories and provide emotional support.

• Offer resources and referrals to students who need additional support.

• Attend regular training sessions to improve active listening and communication skills.

• Work collaboratively with other Student Listeners and campus resources to support students.

 

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a student at the university for Fall 2023.

• Excellent listening and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a non-judgmental attitude towards all students.

• A desire to help and support fellow students through their struggles.

• Willingness to attend regular training sessions and collaborate with other Student Listeners and campus resources.
